Archives for London is a not-for-profit company that works “to advance the education of the public and to further any other purpose which may be charitable… and which relate to the establishment, maintenance, operation and development of archives (which are either public or from which the public may benefit) and related services and activities in the London region.”

Membership of AfL is open to individuals and organisations working with and using archives or local history in London. Members include archivists, conservators, information and record managers, local history librarians and users of archives held in the London area.  Our membership pages give details on different types of membership and their associated voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

AfL’s Board meets regularly and sets the strategy for our activities. Members of the Board (as elected at the AGM, December 2018) are:

Our regular and exclusive programme of activities Includes seminars, practical sessions, conference and special projects. These events are open to members and non-members (with preferential terms for members).
