AfL February Seminar

Photographs in the collections at London Metropolitan Archives

Wednesday 26th February, 18.00 – 19.30 (doors open at 17.30)
Huntley Room, London Metropolitan Archives.

Photographs in LMA’s collections range from the 1840s to the present day, cover London and its surrounding areas and also reflect the capital’s national and international outlook. They particularly illustrate the expansion of London during this period, with transport, schools and housing well represented. Londoners are also recorded, often as anonymous portraits, but also as people at work and leisure.

Having worked as an archivist for a number of years at Guildhall Library Manuscripts Section, Sharon moved to LMA in 2008 and since 2010 has led the Graphics and Digital Collections Team.

Advance booking is essential. Please book your place through Eventbrite or by telephoning Alex Fisher (AfL Secretary) on 020 7594 8818.
